Hello!
I’m Karen. I am an Ordained Interfaith Minister and a HSE Registered Solemniser. This means I can Legally Solemnise marriages in Ireland and Scotland. It is my great joy to create personalised ceremonies to mark any and all of life’s milestones.
I had a traditional Irish Catholic upbringing, so I have a great love for and understanding of the rituals and traditions I was reared with, but I’ve always known my path was outside the traditional. I treasure the beauty of our rich language and ancient traditions, and I wanted to find a path that felt authentic and soulful to me, without the rules and hierarchy I was accustomed to. I also realised that a huge number of my friends and colleagues felt the same, which is why I’m so delighted to be able to offer a non-traditional (but still deeply meaningful) alternative.
One Spirit Interfaith Ministers work with people of all faiths and none, so regardless of where you place yourself on the spectrum of Spiritual/Religious/Atheist, I am happy to work with you towards creating a ceremony that fits just right with your beliefs. So, whether you consider yourself spiritual-but-not-religious, or atheist-but-a-bit-spiritual, or spiritual-but-I-don’t-believe-in-God, we can work with that!
One Spirit Interfaith Ministers also take a vow of Inclusivity at Ordination, so I welcome every type of diversity, and I will use your choice of language/pronouns in your ceremony so that your truth is reflected throughout. I am deeply passionate about choice, equality, inclusivity and social justice, and it is my great joy to embrace and celebrate all that each individual brings to the world.
I will meet with you in the early stages of your wedding planning to discuss your vision and plans for your ceremony, and to see if we’re a good fit for each other.
The first step is to contact me, and if I’m available on your date I would be delighted to meet with you either in-person or on Skype, and we can take it from there.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Much love,
